The architectural contracting office that does design build is located near San Antonio, Texas. The premise is on a sustainable hill country ranch that raises Beefmaster cattle and organic produce & hay.

City of San Antonio- Bob Ross Senior Multi-Service Health & Resource Center

Project Manager- I was responsible for reviewing the viability of site locations and buildings for a 60,000 Sq. Ft. Senior Center, space requirements, senior center research, programming and cost estimation. One rare requirement was to co-ordinate Bexar County, the City of San Antonio, all other service providers and end users. The program required offices, nursing stations, exam rooms, commercial kitchen and cafeteria, a pool, ADA accessibility and on site garden. I worked with the real estate broker and even traveled to Houston to research and visit an existing senior facility for programming requirements. The final Report & Program was used to purchase the existing school and construct the new adoptive re-use Senior Center.

University Health Care Systems- Brady Green Downtown Hospital -3.4 Acres

Master Planner -I was responsible for planning 3.4 Acres, 4 city blocks, five Medical Buildings, a park and historic buildings. I developed a Phased Master Plan to solve compliance with ADA, general accessibility, Historic Preservation and the change over to a New Central Plant, along with future expansion issues. The final Master Plan recommended complete demolition of all additions to the original Art Deco 1918 Brady Green Hospital, adding an axial tree lined avenue up to the front of the original building with a new Art Deco porte-cochere and the construction of two large vertical towers to the north to accommodate the hospital uses, classrooms, lecture halls, conference rooms and auditorium along with food court. At this time 2010 Zachary Construction will be building from this master plan.

Saint Peter & Joseph's Gymnasium & Classroom Complex- 27,000 Sq.Ft.

Lead Architect- I was given this project in schematic design and created details, drawings and construction documents and specifications for the recreation center. The RTEC launched in 2006 and provides on-site children's recreational and educational programs including: media/computer center, spaces for arts, crafts and music, an early childhood center, and a gym complete with state-of-the-art synthetic flooring chosen for its safety, non-skid characteristics and acoustics. In addition, the 9,240 sq.ft. gymnasium/ multi-purpose area also provides rental facilities for special events including galas, conferences and meetings. The gym is designed to cool passively and mechanically, reducing expensive air-conditioning costs.

San Antonio Independent School District- 44 Million Dollars- 42 Elementary School Kitchens

Project Manager- I was responsible for co-ordination of four architecture firms, six engineering firms, the development of RFQ & RFP for the Contractor -At-Risk delivery system; this included coordinating with SAISD General Conditions. We developed a prototype kitchen, drawing details, templates and general specification book for all of the 42 schools. In addition, I designed and developed construction documents for five individual school kitchens in house.

City Public Services/ Tuttle Building- 200,000 Sq.

Lead Architect-This Utility Warehouse has offices and large conference room with coffee bar, large break room with kitchen and a 10 Ton Crane with Repair Shop. I was responsible for the Design and Development of Construction Documents.

San Antonio Independent School District- Construction Administration- Supervision of Construction Administration for Team Leader 1997.

Bexar County Jail Annex Expansion San Antonio, Texas- 46 Million Dollars-

Lead Designer- I believe that air and light are major requirements for a successful design of a jail. The client Bexar County had a desire for green sustainable solutions for their annex. Therefore, large exercise areas were designed for massing, plenty of daylighting and air. In the 60 foot long second floor clerestory window Low-E glass with high visibility was used. My previous research of Sun Trapper's large scale solar hot water systems led to the County doing a very large "Thermal Collector "on the jail roof with a 30,000 gallon capacity. This provides hot water for the jail kitchen, laundry and inmate showers.
